Difficult condition : You were doing fine with your description until you said”pus” was present “time to time.” Some fungus do present with an exudate but more serous or clear in color. If fungus is within the nail plate, resolving is more difficult. Many prescription and over-the-counter products are available. I am not aware of one product better than the other. Seek help of podiatrist if assistances required
