INFECTED TOENAIL: INFECTED INGROWN TOENAIL. YOU PROBABLY NEED AN ANTIBIOTIC! SEE YOUR PCP OR A DERMATOLOGIST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. MEANWHILE, SOAK YOUR FOOT IN SOME FAIRLY HOT WATER EVERY FEW HOURS FOR ABOUT 15 TO 2O MINUTES AND APPLY AN ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT. GOOD LUCK!

Visit Casualty Room: We call it the "Emergency Room" here in the States, but from what it sounds like you may have irritated the area enough to cause a bigger problem. The toe nail probably needs to be completely removed- which is best done by a doctor with local anesthetic. Besides, you need an evaluation for 'cellulitis' or localized infection there. Stay off the foot/leg, take some acetaminophen and go there ASAP.
