Basics: Any fat in foods can delay stomach emptying some. For those with real reflux problems constantly this may be something to avoid. However, for many it would not aggravate their symptoms. The physical process of sitting/standing upright for hours after feeds decreases reflux enough that common food additives can be enjoyed.

Do not see issue: Olive oil has multiple benefits. Most of the literature has looked at its benefit for cooking. However, there are practitioners who advocate its use as taking as a teaspoon. From the Journal of Physiology and Biochemistry 2012 there was a study done which took an extract from olive oil (oleuropein) and it was found to prevent ethanol induced gastric ulcers in rats. I certainly see no harm.
