False statement: Olive oil does not lower LDL. Olive oil raises ldl less so compared to other fats. Although there is some saturated fat in olive oil the major component is monounsaturated fat. This topic is too complex for me to answer fully here. But suffice it to say... Small amounts of olive oil daily 1 tablespoon or less combined with a healthy diet is healthier than many other fats ( trans-fats&sat. fats)
