A member asked:

What exactly is congestive heart failure? a friend was dx'd with it, he was told his blood vessels were too small and that only medications could be given. what kind of medications, and what about blood vessel size? what would be life span?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Congestive heart : Congestive heart failure is a result of poor function of the heart to deal with the flow of blood which leads to congestion of fluids. A small blood vessel is vague but it seems like there could be a problem with the major blood vessels leaving the heart that causes the heart to not be able to effectively push blood through it. Many more details are needed to respond to your other concerns.
