Sorry, not HSV free: The HSV1 antibody test misses up to 30% of infections. If your culture test was positive for HSV1, you definitely have it (and will always have it), regardless of blood test results. Assuming your infection is genital, it's still probably not a big deal. Most people with genital HSV1 have few or no repeat outbreaks and rarely transmit the infection to sex partners. See an STD or herpes expert.
