I would: This is simple enough to treat with a short course of antibiotics. Any female you expose to this can become sterile after becoming infected. You did a good thing to check, now get treated & always use condoms. They don't protect 100% but do reduce your risk with any exposure.

Chlamydia: Agree with earlier response. The Chlamydia-positive IgG antibody immune- response can occur with current, chronic or past infections. So, getting properly treated is appropriate.
