Hot flashes: Menopause may occur between ages 45-55 on average. Hot flashes can precede menopause by several years. They can also be caused by medication side effects. The question does not indicate if the hot flashes persisted beyond 1 day. If they are continuing and problematic, evaluation by your Clinician may be the best course of action.
