I have been having very bad hot flashes on and off all day long and also during the hot flashes i will be cold ..just to let you know i am on medications for bipolar they are :effexor er,depakote,buspar, and meloxicam i have been on this meds 15 yrs?

Hot flashes: Menopause may occur between ages 45-55 on average. Hot flashes can precede menopause by several years. They can also be caused by medication side effects. The question does not indicate if the hot flashes persisted beyond 1 day. If they are continuing and problematic, evaluation by your Clinician may be the best course of action.
