Bipolar Treatment: The research clearly shows that people suffering from bipolar disorder have the best outcomes with a combination of medication and psychotherapy. Psychotherapy should occur for an hour at least 1 or 2 times a month and sometimes more often during the course of treatment. Such treatment by good doctors can result in excellent outcomes. Smoking weed or hash is not associated with good outcomes.

Weed has side effect: Weed can cause psychosis in those who have never experienced it before and it can exacerbate psychosis in those who are at risk or have experienced it before.

Your medication should be managed by a Psychiatrist who understands your medical and psychological history. If you are not confident in your Doctor please see another for a second opinion. Please see a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy to help.
