Depends.: Your psychiatrist is the best person to determine what medications to use given your physical condition and what is safe to use. All medications have side-effects and I believe your psychiatrist is on top of monitoring your ability to tolerate them by taking lab tests. I can tell you from experience that this medication has been effective in Bipolar Disorder.
