Type 1 DM: For someone diagnosed with type 1 diabetes between 1950 and 1964 the estimated life expectancy at birth was 53.4 years. This is certainly going to improve as our care and understanding increases. People with type 1 diabetes who can avoid a kidney issue known as microalbuminuria actually have the same life expectancy as the average person in the United States. (taken from usatoday).

Live a full life: If your diabetes is properly managed, no reason why you can't live a full normal life expectancy! its hard work , but absolutely doable!
