A member asked:

A year ago tsh level was 5.11 . half year ago the level decreased to 3.85 and now the test blood shows the tsh level is 5.01 . is it dangerous the level change? is it possible to low the level always without taking medicine?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypothyroidism: What are the results of the rest of your thyroid panel? TSH levels over 4 are consistent with hypothyroidism(underactive thyroid). I assume the rest of your thyroid levels also reveal underactive thyroid status. Your physician or a thyroidologist can advise you.
