A member asked:

I have blood test results that show low calcium levels, low pth levels, and confirmed hypothyroidism due to high tsh. what does this mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Calcium PTH, Thyroid: Confirmed hypothyroidism s a clear message that the TSH is working hard to increase thyroid hormone but without success. Treatment will have to be with thyroid hormone taken by mouth. Unlikely, but the surgeon might want to remove your thyroid gland since it is not working properly.
