Can daily ppi taken for gerd mask the pain of h.pylori ulcers indefinitely/forever? or real h.pylori ulceration/gastritis becomes more severe/painful over time and non responsive to single ppi dose forcing the person see doc timely for antibiotics.

H pylori: Ppi's alone will not eradicate h pylori. Why not get tested for it by inhalation testing or upper endoscopy? At your young age,hopefully you won't have to take ppi's forever.

In normal and usual cases, If a person has h pylori gastritis or ulcers. Does symptom of burning pain starts improving immediately upon ppi administration! OR it takes some days to feel difference and pain still continues and bothers for a week or so?

When is sucralfate added with ppi for gastritis ? Is ppi alone not enough for healing of stomach lining or ulcers? I do not have h.pylori.

Colonoscopy showed polyp and ulcers in upper rectum. Doc prescribed flagyl and dicloran,, I've past stomach prob. and still GERD. Can i take PPI ?
