My daughter has a big knot on her forehead that keeps swelling seems by the second, i know she has impetigo, so ive applied the topical ointment but it seems to not be working on her face like how it does on her skin.. any suggestions please?

Doesn't sound good: A preschooler with impetigo (skin infection) who then gets a skin lump that is swelling "by the second" sounds bad. It's possible that the forehead knot has no infection but is due to an unwitnessed head bonk on something hard. It's also possible that there is a fast growing abscess or cellulitis infection and injectable antibiotics are needed. Doctor's exam is needed to figure this one out.
