Infection: Check the site of the sting for signs of infection, such as swelling, redness and drainage. Use a cool compress for pain, gently remove the stinger with tweezers. The fever may not be related to the bee sting. Watch for signs of respiratory difficulty, distress, itching. Use an antihistamine Benadryl Children's formula per weight for 1-2 days. If worsening occurs, please see the emergency room.
