A member asked:

Are bumbo seats and various walkers safe for babies? does it affect development? baby is 5 months old

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some basics: The seat is just a simple device for your convenience. It neither aids or detracts from development. Walkers have mixed effects. They have been associated with head injuries in infants who encounter uneven surfaces or who use them as scooters. They may delay natural walking in some. I would never put my kid in a walker.
