After the flu, with a lasting cough with some white and yellow phlegm, it is now seeming to make it into top of my lungs, does this mean pneumonia is coming?

Chronic cough: If the cough lasts more than 3 weeks after the flu, please see your PCP. For acute fever, shortness of breath and worsening cough, a visit to your physician for further management is recommended. Fluids, rest, fever control and an over the counter cough preparation may help to relieve the symptoms.
