Compare pro's, con's: Years ago, listings were available only in printed form. By the turn of the century, lists had become available online everywhere. Now, some lists are only online, and no longer printed. Local medical societies, hospitals, and insurance companies usually list doctors by name, group, insurance plans, and location. The pro's and con's help decide, "Should I stay or should I go now?"

Yes: If you have a choice this is how you "vote" for the type of service received. If you are insured, your insurance company likely has a contract with that doc that stipulates they must see urgent problems within 24 hrs. If not report them. If this is a hospital owned practice docs have less influence on how patients are booked, but I would never stay in such a situation.
