Cough: You need to have his lungs checked for bronchitis or asthma, less likely croup. Although he may also have a virus or strep, the cough usually indicates a lung issue.

Hard to say: If the findings are as stated treatment would be indicated.I would have used a different antibiotic & tested for strep since that can be done simply. Cough for 2 wks is common with a sinus infection. If things have not improved a re-check is indicated.
