2nd Opinion: You may begin by getting a second opinion from another board certified spinal surgeon. Make sure diagnosis is correctly established and that all available treatment has been exhausted. It must also be established if prescription abuse is not a part of the symptoms. This may require psychological evaluation. A multispecialty pain management program may provide all of the above.
