Hi went for a routine mammogram, found micro calcifications, they want an mri / biopsy further investigation, what doctor deals with the process ? what should my next step be and where am i covered to go as my gp is not in the network. kind regards

Breast: Typically the next best step would to have a consult with a surgeon who focuses on breast cancer. That is who would perform the biopsy. If your GP can not assist you with getting a consult then I would recommend you call your insurance provider. They should give you a listing of providers who perform the service.
