My 3 year old daughter has a problem with her chest always coughing and it sounds wet, i have aspelone but i want to know can i give her that and prospan as well?

wouldn't use either: Asperlone is a steroid that can suppress her immune system & should only be used under doctors supervision. (with exam) Prospan & other OTC cough/cold products have been shown to provide little if any benefit to kids under 6 & may thicken secretions & make things worse. A bit of honey & lemon juice is as effective as anything in some of these young kids.

Duration: If the cough is associated with an infection, it should start to improve during the next week. If the cough lingers more than 3 weeks, please see your physician. If your daughter is having difficulty breathing, fever for more than 3 days or chest pain, please see the emergency department.
