My friends dog licked my 7.5 month old son on mouth 2 days ago son now vomiting. too soon to test for parasites?

Wouldn't be parasite: If related to that event it would likely be viral or a bacteria. I suspect it is neither. If the kid is sick enough you would otherwise have him seen do so. If not give it some time to pass or get worse.
