It depends, if ever.: The tissue damage done by radiation exposure is related to the dose, the age of the patient and the organs that receive the dose, as well as genetic factors relating to the patient. Also, the time between exposures is important. Almost any single ct exam of any one body part is exceptionally unlikely to cause any harm. The issue is repeated imaging of the same area, particularly in young patients.
