Long time: Radiation induced cancer can have a very long lag time, even decades. You would need to have an extreme number of head cts to cause cancer, however. And in that case, radiation induced cataracts would still be far more likely than tumor.

Properly indicated imaging studies represent, by definition, situations where the risks of radiation exposure are outweighed by the benefits to the patient. I wouldn't worry about ct scan radiation causing a brain tumor.
