See a doctor!: Could be due to diabetic neuropathy, or numbness in the feet due to diabetes which often starts out painful. If your feet are already numb and you are having breakthrough pain it could be something more serious and should be seen by a podiatrist asap.

Call your doctor: See your physician. Although its not an emergency, it's still a serious issue that can result in problems such as charcot foot, wounds/ sores, infection, etc.

See your podiatrist.: Whenever you have pain, it's your body's way of telling you there is something wrong, whether it's a wound, trauma, or misbehaving nerves. Ask your doctor what the cause is, and what can be done about it.

Pain: Plantar fascia or heel bruise common. A trial of a heel cup or arch support would be a good first step. If persistent visit with podiatrist best idea.
