Diabetic neuropathy: Diabetes is a multi-system disease. It can cause circulation problems to develop faster than in a normal person. The person should have a vascular exam to rule this out. The more common reason is neuropathy. The abnormal levels of sugar in the blood causes damage to the nerves. If it is neuropathy there are medicines that can be taken such as neurontin, or lyrica (pregabalin). Metanx is another.
