Experiencing mild sharp pain on my left side of chest. comes and goes. should this be something i should be concerned with?

Chest pains: If the pains are sharp,fleeting and provoked or exacerbated by a deep breath or cough, a likely cause is a pinched intercostal nerve or irritated muscle. These run between 2 ribs. Barring any recent significant injuries to the chest, they resolve after a few days or so. Pleurisy or pneumonia don't seem likely in view of your symptoms. Avoid straining your rib cage. See your MD as needed.
