Oral herpes: Recurrent oral herpes (cold sore) outbreaks typically occur pretty much the same place each time: for example, if left upper lip, most outbreaks will be there and not elsewhere on face or lips. Each episode starts with red bump, usually several; within 1-2 days the bumps become blister-like; then may contain pus; and scab over by 3-7 days; then heal. See MD with next epiode to confirm diagnosis.
