I have a cold sore on the side of my lip. it came out today, i have kissed my newborn who is 2 weeks today, the whole week except today. now she has pimples in her face. i read cold sores are deadly for newborns. please urgently advise.?

Some basics: An infant usually has pristine clear skin at birth after months floating in moist fluid. By 2 wks outside they often have baby acne due to mothers hormones that are left in the skin. This peaks at 4-6 wks & fades. This could be what you see. Have the babies doc do an exam in the ext few days to sort out the issue. I doubt it is cold sore related but get the kid seen.
