Would a chest ct angiogram for pe or ct-pe scan also reveal an abnormality with the thoracic aorta such as aortic aneurysm/vasculitis??

YES: The gold-standard image study for an aneurism its actually a thoracic CT-scan study, so if the study covers all pulmonary area, you can clearly see if there is any kind of abnormalities. An aneurism its very easy to detect in this kind of studies
