Aneurysm on MRI: MRI will identify significant sized aortic aneurysms, but the "gold standard" is ECG-gated contrast CT scanning. Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) will be better than MRI for all vascular abnormalities. Vasculitis is inflammation of the arterial wall, which may lead to visible anatomic changes, but again CT with contrast will give more sensitive/accurate images of the vessels.
