A member asked:

If staph bacteria found in urine culture (child) could it be in blood stream? when pimple like rash found on sides of stomach as well?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: When staph is found in urine it most often represents skin contaminants from poor collection technique. Unless such a specimen was obtained by catheter or midstream from a well prepared female/ male it's value is suspect. Staph infections in the blood trigger infections in bone/joint/heart valves not skin rashes.
