A doctor has provided 1 answer

Knee locking: Are you certain if the diagnosis? Have you had an MRI of the knee? Chondromalacia patella is a softening of the cartilage under the knee cap caused by overuse in younger people and arthritis may cause it in older people. I wonder if locking is due to cartilage damage inside the knee joint. It would show on an MRI. Chondromalacia is treated with medications like Advil and with physical therapy.
