How long could it take a 10 day script of cefdinir to start lowering a fever in an 8 year old caused by a uti?

Depends: If it is a simple bladder infection you would expect some response within 48-72 hrs. This abx is a bit slower to be effective than some. If it is an infection within the kidneys it may take longer. Any deterioration in symptoms would require a re-evaluation.
