My 3 year old was on cefdinir for strep throat. she developed a rash so dr switched to azithromycin. then she developed some pains, went to hospital us was fine. rapid urine was neg. can antibiotic mask a uti on a rapid test? they also sent culture?

If urinary tract infection is the cause of pain then urinalysis should be abnormal, i.e. + leukocytes & nitrite, even the rapid antigen test can be negative due to antibiotic. Her pain (you did not give us info about this pain) is less likely due to UTI if urinalysis is normal. Good luck to your daughter.
