Carbs: Start reading labels. Generally speaking, when dieting, you want to burn more calories (weight) than you take in, and the math will work in your favor for weight loss. Carbohydrates in excess will cause weight gain. Atkins diet (no carbs) hard to do, a modified atkins or "south beach diet" is more attainable, and if coordinated with a good exercise regimen should show some eventaul results. Good.
