Can amiodarone cause blindness? ive had a bout of afib for 5 days and my doctor wanted to use this. i declined so now am trying flecainide.

Atrial fibrillation: Amiodarone has various side-effects. Visual disturbances noted, but I am not aware of any documented cases of blindness with the medication. Flacainide is an alternative. Other medications to consider for atrial fibrillation include: calcium channel blockers, Beta blockers, Ibutilide, Propfenone, Procainamide and digoxin. I would also recommend taking some mag glycinate along with your medication
