A member asked:

Can menstrual cups cause cervical ectropion? ive developed an ectropion or polyp in the ~5 years ive been using a cup. cause or coincidence?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cervical ?'s: Cervical ectropion is a common condition of inflammation of the cervix, and is not related to the use of a cup. Polyps are growths inside the uterus, and can be occasionally seen at the cervical opening in the vagina. Both can be resolved easily, but require minor surgical and cautery procedures.
