A member asked:

I'm 45 had cervical polyps, and endometrial polyp once years ago.. my cycle is every 26 dys, but missed twice and bleed heavy after. polyps again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Perimenopause: Missing a period at age 45 then having the late period be heavy is usually caused by hormone changes of perimenopause. Endometrial polyps will cause heavier periods, or spotting between periods, but won't change the time a period begins.
