A member asked:

Is a daily calorie deficit of 1300-1500 ok? my bmi is 26.2. on average im eating 700-900 cal a day, output (including resting calories) is about 2200

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BMI of 26.2: You are approximately 20% overweight. To lose 1 pound of body fat in a week, you have to reduce your daily intake of calories by 500 for one week. This gradual type of weight loss is more apt to stay off than rapid weight loss or crash dieting. I think you're on track to lose weightl with your current routine but more calorie intake is advisable. A registered dietician could advise you best.
