Pap smear bleeding?: Bleeding after a Pap smear is usually caused by cervical erosion irritated by the obtaining of the smear. If subsequent sexual relations occurred, the bleeding can continue, as in pulling a scab off of an abrasion. If pregnancy is possible , obtain a serum HCG to be certain, and see your gyn if bleeding continues: this cervical erosion can be treated with hot or cold cautery.
