I used ast/alt calculator and my number is 1.6 I drink beer everyday ast range is 11-38 on my lab mine is 34 normal alt 21 normal range is 10-47.both numbers are normal and all other liver numbers normal and also GGt is normal.Iworry I have cirrhosis?
Concern for husband: long hx of alcohol use (24 beers/week x 25 years), now labs show AST of 51 and ALT of 48. Ultrasound showed gallstones but also a 6 cm mass in liver and coarse echotexture of liver. Are we facing cirrhosis? MRI ordered?
Liver enzymes were normal in early April AST was 32, ALT was 28, at that time I was drinking maybe 4 or 5 pints of beer on weekends (no alcohol during week). Since then, I have had 5-8 pints per wknd...blood test in a week ..will liver levels rise?
Just had 2 iron infusions (anemia due to very heavy periods and PPI use). Lab work 1 week after infusions shows a high ALT level (42) and AST higher than usual also (27). Both are usually in the teens- Related to the infusion? I do not drink?
