Menopause: is the end of all ovulations, for a patient, typically around age 51.5 years, with variation. Low estradiol levels and high follicle stimulating hormone levels, and no period for 6 months or more. Some patients stop having cycles from polycystic ovarian syndrome, falsely thinking they are in menopause, but have a higher risk for uterine cancer if not treated/checked.
