Cancer unlikely: Repeat question, second reply: Very unlikely to be cancer at your age, especially if you have been following Pap smear recommendations and have not had abnormal results. But see a doctor to learn the cause.

Good Morning Dr I hope you are well, can I ask, is spotting normal when you have IUD inserted ? Ive had it for close to two years now and this is the first time something like this happens when Im suppose to be on my periods
My periods are pretty normal with heaviest days on day 1&2 occasionally. I do also have mid cycle bleeding /spotting occasionally too. I had two ultrasounds suggesting possible polyp. I hope it's wrong. Do polyps always have heavy bleeding?
