Oral bc for one year. have pcos. brown spotting all month, now on 6 day of a medium period. is this concerning. i have anxiety surrounding cancer and am terrified this means i have some gynelogical cancer. started new pack of bc today?

Bleeding on bcp's ?: The treatment with oral bcp's is appropriate for PCOS. Bleeding (or "brown spotting") on low dose oral bcp's is usually from not being punctual about taking the active pills. Make certain you take the active pills within the same hour of taking the prior day's active pill. Cancer is highly unlikely from a uterine source at age 37, but see your gyn physician if bleeding continues.
