Back pain : No medication may sometime be a better option than pain medication. Topical medications (rx, compounded or otc) are generally safer than oral, but may not be as effective. Acetaminophen is a safe analgesic medication. Nsaids are also helpful & can be purchased otc. Always read the label/package insert. Long term side effects are possible with any medication.
