Keep it simple: It would be possible to add various medications for various side effects, but then you'd have a more complicated regimen than you'd otherwise have. Since there are alternatives to vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) it sounds like your doctor is trying to keep things the simplest and healthiest they can be for you. If you need stimulants and others don't work, then you'll have other decisions to make. Be well.

It's individual. : First thing you need to be sure of is to abstain from all caffeinated beverages, chocolate, licorice, or otc medications that can increase blood pressure. If your BP remains elevated, it's up to you to decide to change meds or treat the hypertension. Intuniv and Clonidine are useful adhd medications that are comlpimentary to vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) and can bring down bp, while simultaneously helping adhd.
