Fibroids & pregnancy: Large fibroids in pregnancy can cause pain, bleeding, and premature labor. I am sorry that your wife is experiencing the pain, but for the sake of the child it is great that she is not delivering prematurely yet. The OB MD usually does not prescribe continuing pain medication for this situation, but talk to the OB MD and find out what else can be done.
